Pride Open Mic at Our House - Hosted by Out + Loud!
If you are looking for a chill space to celebrate Pride and also love to support independent queer venues, we’ve got just the thing! Out + Loud is coming to Our House for their first-ever open mic in Wakefield and we can’t wait to welcome them!
Out + Proud events aim to create a space for LGBTQ+ people to share creativity in a relaxed environment as an alternative to often overstimulating Pride events.
Tickets are free and can be secured below everyone is welcome to perform or just watch along.
To sign up to perform
Simply send Out + Proud a message or email, there will also be a few spaces to sign up on the night if inspiration strikes. So whether you’re a poet, comedian, drag artist, singer, or something else entirely, we’d love to have you perform with us!
The set up will include a microphone and PA system and the cafe will be open all evening for drinks and snacks.
Our House is a sober space. There is level access from the street and a ground-floor gender-neutral toilet.

About Out + Loud
Out + Loud is a queer arts collective run by drag king singer-songwriter Ding Frisby and poetic comedian Zee Y. Having grown up in Huddersfield, Ding and Zee moved to different cities and realised that inclusive queer spaces can and do exist, so they returned and built one at home. They started in 2019 and have come a long way since then (Wakefield).
